I saw this Jane Austen adaptation yet again. A bit old-fashioned with all the lords, estates, inheritance and dowry, and restrained feelings, but nevertheless well performed by all. We follow the two Dashwood sisters and their challenges with acquiring a husband. See more at Rotten Tomatoes.

Die hard
Several articles has talked about Die hard as a Christmas movie. I’ve seen it before, but I wanted to watch it again, when it was shown on Danish tv. It is from 1988, so Willis and Rickman were very young. Anyway, the movie was also far too long, more than 2 hours. After about 30-40 minutes the explosions and shooting starts and goes on almost without a break right to the end. Also, there are a few preposterous things in the script, like a common policeman knows more about policing than his chief. Or the lock of the safe opens, when power is cut. Love actually
I saw this movie on the Danish libraries movie site Filmstriben. See more at Rotten Tomatoes.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Danish: Harry Potter og Hemmelighedens Kammer)
This is the second movie of the series. I’ve already seen the first one. Good fun, although a bit too lengthy. Also the parts with fighting the bad guys/monsters are boring. See more at Rotten Tomatoes.
Sense and sensibility (Danish: Fornuft og følelse)
I saw this Jane Austen dramatization on Netflix. I like movies with Emma Thompson, she makes a lot of movies better. See more at Rotten Tomatoes.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (Danish: Harry Potter og de vises sten)
I saw this on our own dvd after we had heard Stephen Fry narrate the book. As expected from around 9 hours audiobook there was something (a lot) left out in this 2 1/2 hour movie. See more at Rotten Tomatoes.
